Why I Started One In A Million Wife (and Who This Space Is For)

If you've recently found your way here, welcome.

Whether you're newly married, celebrating decades together, or somewhere in between, I'm so glad you're here.

One In A Million Wife began from a simple desire: to create a space where wives could be encouraged, challenged, and reminded that growth doesn't stop once we say, "I do."

Marriage is one of life's greatest blessings, but it's also one of its greatest opportunities for growth. Through every season whether joyful, difficult, ordinary, or uncertain, I've learned that becoming a better wife has as much to do with allowing God to shape me as it does with improving my marriage.

That's why this space exists.

A Little About Me

I've been married for more than twenty years.

I'm a former stay-at-home mom, and raising our three children has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. Along the way, I've experienced seasons filled with joy, exhaustion, celebration, uncertainty, answered prayers, and lessons I never expected to learn.

After being married for about 8 or 9 years, my husband and I also completed marriage mentorship training, with a focus on the premarital assessment SYMBIS(Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts). While no class can prepare you for every season of marriage, it gave us a foundation that I've come to appreciate even more over the years.

One lesson has become increasingly clear to me:

A healthy marriage isn't built on having all the right answers.

It's built on continually allowing God to shape two imperfect people.

Why Faith Is the Foundation

You'll notice that faith is woven throughout everything you'll find here.

That's intentional.

Not because I have a perfect walk with Christ, I don't.

But because I've learned that every area of life is strengthened when it's surrendered to Him.

Marriage.

Personal growth.

Health.

Homemaking.

Relationships.

Even the ordinary moments that seem insignificant.

My faith isn't separate from those things.

It's the foundation beneath them.

That doesn't mean I've figured everything out.

Far from it.

In fact, many of the posts I write come directly from what God is teaching me in real time.

I'm not writing from the finish line.

I'm writing from the journey.

My hope is that as I share what I'm learning, you'll be encouraged in your own season too.

Who This Space Is For

This space is for the newlywed learning what it means to build a marriage on a strong foundation.

It's for the wife who's been married for years and realizes she's still growing.

It's for the woman balancing marriage, motherhood, work, ministry, friendships, and the desire to continue becoming who God created her to be.

It's for the wife who wants her home to be filled with peace instead of perfection.

It's for the woman who wants to grow spiritually while also caring well for herself and the people she loves.

If you've ever found yourself wondering how to pursue faith, personal growth, marriage, homemaking, and intentional living without losing yourself in the process, I hope you'll feel at home here.

What You'll Find Here

One In A Million Wife isn't about pretending to have it all together.

It's about learning together.

Here, you'll find reflections on marriage, faith, personal growth, homemaking, wellness, and the everyday moments that quietly shape our lives.

Some posts may challenge you.

Others may simply remind you to slow down.

My prayer is that each one encourages you to become more intentional in the life God has entrusted to you.

Join Me This July

As we begin July, I'm starting something a little different.

After recently rediscovering an old prayer guide that encouraged wives to pray intentionally for their husbands, I felt inspired to dedicate the month to doing just that.

Throughout July, I'll be participating in a 31-day prayer challenge for wives and sharing reflections on what God is teaching me along the way.

I'd love for you to join me.

Whether you've been praying consistently for your husband or you're simply looking for a fresh way to strengthen your marriage through faith, let's spend this month growing together.

Let's Keep Becoming

If there's one thing I've learned over the past twenty-plus years of marriage, it's that growth is never finished.

God continues to refine us, teach us, and gently shape us through every season.

That's the heartbeat of One In A Million Wife.

Not perfection.

Not having all the answers.

But becoming the women God is calling us to be, one ordinary day at a time.

I'm grateful you're here, and I hope you'll stay awhile.
